This is a to-do page for the next release. These are specific tasks we should do.
The GoldVersionToDo page has the general steps for creating a gold version of the code.
where do we want to store the output from the test suite? The gradj ftp site appears dead. Really should be on nublado.

but understand why func_test_grid.out does not repeat - checkall error says "PROBLEM: the output in func_test_grid.out did not repeat exactly

There are the problems with BLR calculations. The most recent botches
look likely to be symptomatic of this. I'm not sure we can plan to
address them in any time-boxed fashion; the trunk is no worse than
where c10 is in this regard, and better in a lot of other ways.
These have been moved to the "radiative transfer" milestone in the tickets.
the changes to the grid command will need to be
accepted de facto; otherwise re-implementing the associated bug fixes
and documentation updates would be too time consuming - putting them
in a beta/release candidate may get some usability feedback on them
from users 'outside the fence'.
Maybe we should plan to make the beta in one week, on the nice round October 15th? I could get in the escape probability fixes by then. Then make the release candidate Nov. 15 or Dec. 1, and release one or two months later? I very much like the idea of actually getting it out in the month of January.

hazy1 section 12.2, g-bar approximation, copy section from cooling function paper explaining what we do

section 18.14.21 set gbar of - what do we do about forbidden transitions? should use something like 1
images for the quick start guide, hazy 1 & 2 the quick start guide has shown something indicating speed. Racehorses, fighter jets, speed skaters. Wonder if we could get an image of a 8 on the Cam? The Bumps? I tried to google up such an image but they were mostly copyrighted. Wonder if Robin might have a way to get something we could use? Or we could ask Andy or Paul Hewett.
for hazy 1 and 2 we have tried to show off something that cloudy can do, that people may not appreciate. there have been x-ray and IR spectra. Any ideas?? The new thing we have now is much better Fe x-ray spectra thanks to chianti. An x-ray image showing L-shell Fe lines and H&He-like O and C might be impressive.
we have not been providing compiled copies of hazy 3 so maybe it does not need an update.
